✨What is Cupping?✨
Cupping therapy uses silicone or plastic cups placed on the skin to create suction. While massage works by pressing down into tissue, cupping works by lifting tissue up — separating layers of muscle and fascia, increasing blood flow, and drawing stagnant fluid and toxins toward the surface for the body to process⭐️

Your clinician places cups on targeted areas — typically the back, shoulders, neck, or hips. The suction creates a lifting effect that decompresses tissue layers, increases local blood circulation, breaks up fascial adhesions, reduces muscle spasm, and promotes lymphatic flow.

July was the month of TMJ.⭐️

What are some things we learned?🧐

TMJ stands for the temporomandibular joint, which connects the jawbone to the skull on both sides of the head, acting as a hinge for moving the jaw. It allows for essential movements like talking, chewing, and yawning. 🥱🌯

TMJ refers to the joint itself, however people often use it to refer to TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder)

TMD causes pain in the jaw joint or muscles. People may experience clicking or popping sounds when opening their mouth, headaches, earaches, and difficulty chewing. 🤕
